Presentations of the Open Access week event that we held on Friday 28 October are now available to view.

Open Access (OA) is an important global trend where researchers choose to provide free online access to their publications. To celebrate Open Access Week all research-active staff and students are invited to presentations by academic colleagues Simon Chapman, Martijn de Sterke, Alex Holcombe, Matt Todd and Goetz Richter who are harnessing the power of OA to extend their research influence and grow their citation rates. Learn about the benefits of OA for scholarly collaboration; the open science movement; the important of OA for disciplines striving for recognition; and combining social media and OA to increase exposure.
